A Bit About Jimmy Swaggert
Swaggart is the cousin of rock legend Jerry Lew Lewis and country western singer Mickey Gilley.
Swaggart and many in the Faith Movement prefer the Dake Bible which is full of heresy and lies. he said, “If one ever looks at me like that, I’m gonna kill him and tell God he is dead”.

Jimmy Swaggert (1935- ) began his evangelistic career working as a street preacher when just a teenager. He began working full-time as a minister in 1958 and by 1970, he had developed a large organization and soon his weekly television show was carried on several hundred stations across the country. Perhaps searching for a means to stand out from an increasingly crowded televangelist market, Swaggert's show gradually grew louder and gaudier, providing Swaggert with an identifiable style.
Swaggert certainly pulled no punches when it came to finding people and things to criticize. There was, of course, the ever present targets like liberal politics and secular humanism, but he also found ready targets with other, rival preachers like Billy Graham, other religions like Judaism and other Christian denominations like Catholicism.

A Bit About Ahmed Deedat
He is a Muslim Scholar with more then 5 decades of experience, amazingly he has more knowledge of Christianity then Islam and due to this, any Christian missionary thinks 100 times before debating with him. He with exact Surat, Ayat number, recites different quotes from Different Bibles each conflicting with each other which makes his opposite Christian missionary rethink his own religion. In South Africa were he lives, hundreds of people have entered Islam Including large number of Christian Missionaries.

These are lectures and are long so take you time to listen to them. They are very educational and does clear up some misunderstandings of the different theologies. Thiese are a great way to learn about other religions and beliefs of the world. Ahmed uses Biblical Scrptures and discusses the implications of some of them and their meanings from an original standpoint.

Yet, I was watching Ahmed Deedat's debates and I thought he was alive. Just now online another site I read an old news in which it was shown that he'd died in 1996. I was totally shocked as if my own family member has just died. I always wanted to meet with him. He's also the teacher of Dr Genius (Zakir Abdul Karim Naik). At the moment I don't have words to say or write something, for I've just passed through a big shock. May Allah bless him in grave with heavenly fruits and make his gave a garden of Jannat (Heaven). Ameen.

Nice hubs, actually I am christian who embrace Islam by watching the debate between Prof. Deedat and one of the christian scholar. I am very impress the way prof. deedat delivered the message about the bible he is beter than the oponent I really salute him. Inshaallah Ahmed Deedat is in the bosom of almighty Allah. When truth comes to light falsehood goes hiding. Great job Deedat. And may Allah bless you and reward you in your grave and open the doors of heaven for you. You have touched the lives of many and through you Allah has brought a lot of people onto the right pass. Surely onto every man comes a time to be born and a time to die. You were born and you have died. You have done your part. Its up to us to follow from your example. May Allah bless you.

You must never base your faith on the understanding of another "man". Whether it be Swaggert, Deedat, or any other man who is flawed and imperfect. True revelation is from God and Him alone.
It's odd that we can agree on things in history as being fact as long as there are at least 3 historically accurate writings from 3 different sources. The most accurate and acceptable is that of Ceasar, with 10 writings... the closest most accurate written 1000 years after his death (this event is not disputed by historical scholars). However, the New Testament of the Bible and the life and events surrounding the Messiah, Jesus Christ has over 14,000 records of events with the most accurate being 60 years after His death.
Men will always try and lead you away from truth, its their nature... But truth has a history and history is recorded. The fact is that the New Testament (recordings of Christ) have never been disproven. In fact, over and over again it is continually proven correct by geography, new found scrolls, and historically recorded events found through archeology.
The choice of who to follow is yours... I pray you seek full truth before making a decision guided by man.
Jesus Lives, That is not totally true with the things about Jesus. Be careful to not only take a few items from the Bible. For one There was no manger or any Inn because they weren't available in that time period. For another they did find --or think they found he real birthplace and that was in a small cave. Jesus was not born on December 25th either. There are other things that don't match up to the gospels. I do follow Jesus, not paul and not some man who tells me what I should believe and what the Bible says. It's ironic that most of Jesus life and saying and teachings about him or by him were not included in the Bible at all but replaced by Paul's teachings. I don't care if Paul claimed that he got his messages from Jesus (which is not true at all anyway) it is Jesus who we are supposed to follow. Jesus also said that he put all the laws into our hearts and minds and he said the kingdom is WITHIN us all and to be careful with our thoughts and not to judge others.

Well Deedat is for sure in Hell today,he debate someone that isn't a scholar of anything, he should have debated the two candor brother's who were muslims born muslims raised muslims and now are born again Christian and professor in bible colleges, deedat never debated anyone with the knowledge these two brothers have about the muslim belief and the Christian belief.

Really hate putting any so called minister down, but google some on dedat and you will find he is nothing but a trash sling liar, with maybe `10% true if he's lucky and he had better be on judgement day, people just don't get away without paying for lies like dedat spews out. I would hate being in his shoes.

Readthebiblewell, Thanks for commenting on an old hub of mine. Not many read the Bible well, not just Deedat. Most Christians don't know that everything Jesus said and did was not put in that Bible because it would not fit--so says that in the Bible.

You have to read your bible yourself correctly, you cannot criticise Ahmed Deedat, he had more knowledge of Bibile, Torat and any other regions book. New version and and old version. So before you critise him make sure that you have enough knowledge of just bibile of all the version. In all the debates he was using all the reference from Bible or from any other religouse book. At the end of all the debates finally all other religouse were always convinced by Ahmed Deedat. May Allah Keep him in peace. Ameen
Riaz, You need to read my hub first again. I did NOT criticize Deedat at all. I was bringing to light the atrocities of Jimmy Swaggart. You must read the whole article tof ind that out.
Ahmad Deedat is wonderful person i ever come across till today, if you carefully understood what he was criticizing and blaming was the mind of christian bible readers who couldn't identify the truth from falsehood, good from bad, trinity from monotheism, and as well why they (Christians) insult Islam by saying it allows marring four wives, put women in behind veil, and so on, without examining the reason behind Islamic teaching,but in reality the christian themselves wouldn't address prostitution alcolism

What you said is %100, and what Ahmad deedat(Peace be uopn his soul) we believe in Jesus, we believe in what JESUS said not any other person... because at the end what Jesus said is exactly what other prohpehts said too... the point of being a believer is to be human, not any, but a good human, peacful, honest, hard-worker...etc. it doesn't matter whether you are christian, musliam, or jewish, these are only names, the important point is to be HUMAN.
