Pangea Continental Drift

Where Is The Garden?

In our history we know that the Garden was on a single continent in the waters or oceans. This would have to have been Pangaea when the continents were one big continent.

We also know that the land and seas move all the time and what was then is not now and what is now may never be again. Our Earth is constantly changing.

On the right you will see a map of what the changes were that occurred when the continent started to shift. This shifting caused the flood as it would be as if a dam had broken. The waters would have flooded every thing except the highest mountainous areas. It would spare none or anything. The continents drifted and slowly the waters receded. The land was changed forever and it states that in the Bible that the landscape changed after such a cataclysmic event. We still have this in the Arctic with the Ice sheets falling into the waters.

There have been many expeditions to finding this Garden of Eden. One was sparked by the Crusades. There was such a King that said that the garden was just on the outside of China. Every time they tried to get in touch with this king he eluded them.

The crusades came about because of land rights and who own the property that the Garden of Eden was supposedly located. The Muslims owned all the land in Israel and Jerusalem and the areas in the region at that time Those who wanted to find where the Garden might have been were refused access to that land. There began the crusades. Not a total religious war. What they did find though instead of the Garden of Eden was where Jesus was put on the Cross and many other artifacts of his existence.

In the Bible it states where or what the Garden was. It is reported that it was in the East, only we don't know where the person who wrote this information down was actually standing. It is also mention in the Bible that there were four rivers that met in this garden. If you look at the land you will not find them. When you take an aerial view (in part 5 of the video's) though you do see two dried up riverbed paths under the ground. Though they see these there is still some speculation as to where the garden would be locked because at the one end it is in now what is the country of Turkey and the other end is in present day Iraq. Another location is Syria and or Saudi Arabia. One of the rivers doesn't even connect with the other three until you see it in the aerial view in the video.

These regions or countries are now deserts, but they weren't always that. Not if they were on the same continent and four rivers ran through and fed them. The land would be very lush and plentiful. It would be perfect for grazing animals and lots of herds therefore being a perfect, pure and plentiful place to dwell.

Mysteries of The Garden Of Eden- The History Channel Part 1

Many Stories With The Same Thesis

There are a few accounts of this story floating around since 6000 - 7000 B.C. The Sumerian's (who invented writing) story of Gilgamesh was the first story of this Garden, A Man, A Serpent and A Girl. They were written in Cuneiform by the Sumerians in about 6000 B.C. and were later translated. This epic was about the gods, adventures and misadventures of a king and all the people and gods that he encountered.

In the Qur'an it also has a similar story of how the Garden began. Only in that story both the man and woman were tempted at the same time and both were punished for their mis-doings.

The two accounts in the Bible were translated into the latin language 600 years after the death of Jesus. It is thought that those who wrote the story in Genesis borrowed most of the story from the Sumerian texts. All through the Bible the story's have come out of Mesopotamia and Sumeria.

In this article will be some of the history of this story and give the conclusion to the findings from various scientific and theological findings at the end.

You may want to watch the videos to gain a better knowledge of the events and findings for yourself.

Mysteries of The Garden Of Eden- The History Channel Part 2

A Garden, A Man, A Girl and A Serpent

This story starts out with a god who seemed to be bored and wanted to make a world that he could look at and praise and gaze upon at his leisure. So he began to make the sky and planet separate and then give it light and darkness. He gave it water and soil and all kinds of good things for it to sustain life. He made a garden and in this garden he created streams and rivers that flowed into ponds and lakes and that filtered the good from the bad. He made the waters able to disperse in the sky as rain that washed everything clean again.

After he finished with the waters he went on to create the plants that were beautiful in his eyes. He made them to grow and creep in between and mingle with the soil and waters. Next on his list were animals that would forage and eat all there was that he provided for their nourishment. In his plan he made each and everything a way to add in numbers to his garden. When he finished with all of this work he sat back and enjoyed his creation., He observed and watched and gazed upon all the was working and playing in his garden that he made. He was proud of his accomplishment but he thought that there was something missing. Thinking that he would not be around to take care of all the intricacies he needed a caretaker to do that. So he thought of making a creature to do that. He called that creation, Man. This man creature didn't have a mate or counterpart yet and this is where the story starts to get complicated.

Mysteries of The Garden of Eden - The History Channel Part 3

Who Came First

In one account in the Bible their was someone else that was before man and man was made of spirit. This was Lilith. She was a spirit and she was to be Adam's first wife. She got upset because of a sexual/power/control issue. This has been spurned and discussed heatedly throughout history and even into today. She wanted to have other sexual positions other than the man being on the top in the, what is called the, "missionary position". He wouldn't allow it and she took off. She got mad and become a member of the demons (succubus) who were against god and all of his plans that he wanted in his Garden of Eden. She was given the characteristic for killing all children at will in the Garden of Eden. They explain that this is the cause of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death). This is where it is thought that the Lullaby came from. It was to protect babies from Lilith's wrath (part 4 video). This story is told in the Midrash and in Zohar in the Kabbalah.

The second story has Adam made from the clay of the earth and woman made from his rib so as to be equal to/with him. She goes to the forbidden tree and is tempted by a Serpent and eats the fruit of that tree..

Mysteries of The Garden of Eden - The History Chanel Part 4

Which Fruit?

Historians and Archaeologists have ruled out the forbidden fruit as being the Apple. According to where the Garden was located there was no such things as apples in that area.

What makes more sense is the Fig. Adam and Eve, when they found they needed to cover their bodies, up used Fig Leaves. So by that assumption they think the Fig was better choice as the Forbidden Fruit.

The fig had been cultivated in that part of the world for 11,000 years before the birth of Christ. They cultivated it, used it as their fruit and staple in their diets and used the leave as well. There were no apples in that region at all so this puts that out of the question.

The scholars who translated the bible used another word Malus which has two meanings, Evil and Apple. The reference to this was added to the Bible in 600 A.D.

For more detailed information this is located in the first video near the end.

Mysteries of The Garden of Eden - The History Channel Part 5

The Serpent, Satan and the Sin

Satan is never mentioned in the book of Genesis in the Bible. Scholars think the story got a bit mixed up with the other versions from the Sumerian texts. The Serpent may be a reference of the older Snake God and transformed in the word Satan. In the year 2000 B.B. the name of this Snake God was Tiamet.

In the beginning in this story man was in a garden and was a hunter for his food and a gatherer of the herbs and plants that this god had made for his use. Around 6000 to 7000 B.C. agriculture became popular by other cultures and was introduced to these people of the Garden of Eden. Those other cultures no longer had to forage for their food, This gave them the appearance of god-like powers. The Serpent/Snake did tempt them with this information stating that they would be like Gods because they wouldn't have to forage for food when they could grow their own. They now had the control of what they grew and the animals they would keep and the like. Once you learn to do better things there is less of a chance that you will go back.

So they advanced in their knowledge and became farmers and cultivators. Then a climate change came about and ended the Ice Age. This brought about the Great Flood. This would have made them think that they did sin and made the gods unhappy with them when the waters rushed over the land and destroyed them. It is said that the waters rushed so fast over the valley that it was like the powerful force of the Niagara Falls. It would be like a flood over a dam and the landslides and mudslides that occur within it. The land had changed forever. They could never go back and it was wiped off the face of the earth.

This is what another hubber said in my comments and thought that I would add it here for you to digest as well.

"This is an excellent hub page, and on a topic that I have been fascinated by for years. I add a link from my lens on Zecharia Sitchin ( http://www.squidoo.com/zechariasitchin).

If you are not familiar with the works of Sitchin, he has spent most of his life translating and re-translating the cuneiform texts from Sumeria, and has some amazing theories about the Garden Of Eden and the creation of mankind.

The Book of Genesis talks about God saying "Let us create man in OUR image" and also about the "Nefilim", also known as the "Annunaki", who came from the heavens. The Sumerian stories tell much of the Nefilim, the "Gods Of Old", who also identify with the Gods of Egypt and Greece (both much later civilizations compared to Sumeria), and the descriptions of the birth of Adam (A-dam in Sumerian means "worker") and the Garden of Eden (E-Din in Sumerian means "birthing chamber").

The stories sound more like a scientific cloning experiment than some magical waving of a wand, which if you have an open mind, makes you think... So where did we REALLY come from ?"

You can find more information on Zachariah Stitchin's website: http://www.sitchin.com/

So What Do We Have Today?

The only thing that they can find that coincides with many other stories and is real time evidence is the Flood and the rivers that were shown underground on the aerial views. This is part of the story is truth. Legends have some truth in them and then are embellished by many others and other stories that get mixed up with them. You can also call this a type of oral tradition where the story gets passed down through generations.

Again when you have the one person on one end of the line and tell the next person and so on and so forth the story changes a bit with the last person who gets it.

The Earth is in flux all the time and the landscape has changed and will continue to do so. Being as this is non-stop, it will be very difficult at best to find such a lovely and pure place as this Garden Of Eden was. We may never find it again.

So this is a Legend among many other legends that will follow us througout time.

======================================

New Information:

""All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident." - Arthur Schopenhauer

Truth when broken down into its basic elements comprises of Logic, Common Sense and Circumstantial Evidence. Logic is the principles of reasoning, especially of the structure of propositions as distinguished from their content and of method and validity in deductive reasoning. Common sense is sound judgement. Circumstantial evidence is relating to, or dependent on circumstances or physical evidence. All three elements have to coincide with each other for it to be the truth.

The gods of Eden is a book which was published over 10 years ago. Many people who read it at the time rejected it because much of what it says goes against orthodox teachings. With all that I have researched this doesn't surprise me at all. People are basing their beliefs on what they have been taught and often the societal system reinforces those teachings. When the truth does come out it is mocked just as Arthur Schopenhauer said. Many people have suffered because of this. The life story of Galileo is an example.

Galileo had proof the earth orbited the Sun but the church refused his information and tried him for heresy because his findings contradicted those of the church. The church lather reversed the charges in light of the truth.

A Purpose for War

William starts his book by questioning why humans go to war. Human psychology, sociology, political leadership, economic conditions, and natural surroundings have to be taken into consideration. "Many thinkers, however, have erroneously equated all human motives with motives found in the animal kingdom. This is a mistake because intelligence breeds complexity." Motivation becomes more elaborate with the rise of intelligence.

"It is easy to understand the mental stimuli in two alley cats squabbling over a scrap of food, but it would be a mistake to attribute as simple a state of mind to a terrorist planting a bomb in an airport." (PP 2) In other words, you must raise your level of thinking/awareness to a higher level in order to see the truth........................"

Nice article, Lady G.

I wouldn't worry too much about the fruit involved. Considering that Genesis specifies is as the "fruit of knowledge of good and evil", it might not be anything we could identify. Possibly not even a fruit. Maybe access to forbidden knowledge. BTW, if you ever get the chance to read C.S. Lewis's :) space trilogy, it's very worthwhile. He has an intriguing outlook on the nature of innocence.

As for the location of the garden, well the land has changed so much...maybe Pavel Chekov was right. It's in Russia...

Or maybe it was removed from the bounds of the earth, as was Tolkien's Aman. The concept of the Flood kind of bothered me. I mean, would YHWH flood His garden?

As for Adam and Lilith, well, I'd have to say that Adam would have been a boring idiot to not want to try any other positions. :) OTOH, Lilith's reaction was WAY over the top...

Again, nice article. Keep up the good work.

Lady, a very good read. Eden as a place really exists in our hearts and minds as a place of peace and tranquility. Maybe that's why gardening is such a popular hobby, we can 'play' in a garden of our own creation, and gain some peace from the practice.

The Garden may not have been a physical place.

In Genesis 2, God tells Adam that if he eats of the Forbidden Fruit, he will surely die on that day. After Adam and Eve eat it, they do not literally, physically die. Instead, they are escorted out of the Garden and Adam lives to the ripe old age of 930 years!

So, what was God talking about? Adam and his mate died spiritually. And it is quite possible that Eden was a spiritual place--perhaps even another name for Heaven.

The physical is mixed in with the non-physical to make the story more interesting and understandable. In Genesis 1:26, when it talks of Man being created in the image of God, this image is not Homo sapiens. God is a non-physical, spiritual and immortal source of creation. That makes us inherently non-physical, spiritual and immortal sources of creation. In other words, baby gods.

Could the flaming sword at the entrance of the Garden be the blinding gate of Heaven which is impossible to approach without the proper humility and faith?

The Forbidden Fruit may not have been physical, either. How can an immortal "die?" If that immortal is unconscious and effectively incapable of creating with any conscious effort, then they would be effectively "dead" to the world around them. This would be the "long sleep" of the immortal children of God. This is what needs to be cured by spiritual awakening--when we no longer view ourselves through our egos.

Ego is likely the poison of the Forbidden Fruit--a matrix of ideas and beliefs, much as the Kabbalah's "Tree of Life" is also a non-physical matrix of ideas.

As you may have guessed, I'm writing a book on all of this called, "The Bible's Hidden Wisdom, God's Reason for the Flood."

It's amazing how no one has pointed out, until now, that we really don't know what Man did that was so wicked. Certainly, the Flood did not cure Man's "garden variety" wickedness. And now we have an answer. Not only do we know what Man did, but we know the identity of the culprit, and why God targeted that culprit to be eliminated.

Behind everything that has happened and will happen, we find God's enduring love. Yes, even behind Auschwitz.

Lone77star, I believe we are Gods and Jesus pointed it out several times in one way or another. While you are doing research for that book of yours, please take into accout the research done and presented as Ancient Aliens in which the serpent was a wormhole. Also take a look at Blue Apples and add those to your book of knowledge. There is more out there than meets the eye!

Thanks for the information that you provided. I am always looking for other possiblilities of this world and the next and so on and so forth. Nothing is as it seems and as you stated in my other Magical Places Hub things are coming into the light. What goes around, comes back around.
