A subject that has come up quite a few times recently in various articles, is the belief by certain Christians in 'The Pre-trib Rapture'. For those of you who have not heard of this belief before, as I...
Many people who are waiting for Jesus second coming are in preparation for such and event. The have studied the Bible of theirs and know exactly when he will come and how he will come. They fervently are spreading the word (FEAR) that he is coming and will take them to heaven.
I purposely did not put a photo on this hub because I don't want to give anyone any preconceived notions about the looks of Jesus The Christ. They do that very well themselves. Well I can't say very well because most have not even considered what the First Jesus ever looked like. They failed to consider the terrain of his day or the color's of the people there in that territory. There are a lot of things they never thought about because it has all been told to them. Read another article and the comments therein Here to see what others have to say about the color of Jesus.
Jesus is a white male with blue eyes and he came to bring us peace. Jesus also was murdered for stating what he believed in, almost like those who go against the church or government of today. In that Bible he told us that he did NOT come to bring Peace. When I posted that on another social network I was told that he did bring peace to all those who followed him and so that makes it that he brought peace to the whole world? I think not.
So as it goes the Christians believe that Jesus is coming back. I have heard that he is coming back in the Clouds. Hmmm now how would he be doing that? Is his picture going to be in the clouds or is he going to be standing on the cloud. I doubt that because you cannot stand on a cloud. It sounds to me that he would be in some kind of aircraft. If that were the case you wouldn't be able to see him.
What is he going to look like when he comes back? Is he going to have long blond hair and blue eyes? Is he going to be a she--or better yet be both at the same time. Oh yeah there are those that are born right now in this world that are both. The parents get to decide which sex they will live their lives with and if it is the wrong choice, they don't pay, the child does and becomes an atrocity, and outcast.
Where is he going to be born or is he just going to appear like a full grown man. What nationality is he going to be? If he/she chose to be born of a Muslim would you accept him as the Saviour.
What religion will he be. Of course the Catholics will say the he will be catholic because that is the only religion that is correct and has all the answers.
What is he coming back for if he already brought peace in the first attempt. Would be "saving?" anyone this go around? It is said in the Bible that he already put Satan down but then again it also states that he is out for the thousand years. What thousand years? It has been 2 thousand years? Shouldn't he have already come back?
I believe that he did, just by reading the Bible on my own with my own thinking. It didn't take a genius to read that he was resurrected and no one knew him. He was all glad and excited about it and tried to get even his disciples to believe him, but no one would. Do you ever wonder why that was? I mean don't take anyone else's word for it, but just read it for yourself. Very shortly after that incident Jesus doesn't appear anywhere else in the Bible. Paul begins his rants and teachings as if he was better that Christ himself. Was he? What happened to Jesus after he was resurrected?
Now I know that I will be told that it is this way or that way and someone got it from another Prophet and that your hermetics teaches so and so. Whateva! It's sad that no one can read the Bible by themselves without having someone else interpret things for them. Isn't that what is taught in school--to learn how to read?
Is it really blasphemy to ask questions or is that the way religion tells you it should be. I have been told that I need to ask for forgiveness from certain Christians and to stop spreading lies and such. Asking questions and seeking knowledge is exactly what the Bible says and Jesus stated that all the answers would not be in the book. How can you not go by what Jesus states and go by what your religion state. That IS Blasphemy.

That is fine and dandy, but you never even read the hub or answered any of the questions.
I tried not to answer any, and yes I did read it.
What started out as a legitimate question devolved into a sarcastic rant that answered its own questions, while marginalizing those who believe otherwise...I found nothing worthy of intellectual discourse in this Hub...simply one person's disaffection with Christian dogma, and the belittling of those that hold those beliefs...
As an agnostic I have no dog in this fight, but I do respect other considered points of view and would refrain from sarcasm to make my point of view known....Larry

Trouble is he is going to be here, and people will not believe it, or even know about it. But as time goes buy they will learn about it.
You brought up many questions, that actually most cannot answer.

Of 6 Billion people on this eart and even more added each day about the only way that anyone gets recognized is by being involved in the Political or actor/ress arenas. Do you think SHE may be involved in anything like that and would you know if you seen her? How would you know?
You missed my point near the end of the hub about he already came and no one recognized him. What make one think HE/SHE will again and if he had already then we all missed it. Why is it a HE and not a SHE?
If jesus did arrive on a cloud as a hermaphrodite, or just arrived as a hermaphrodite the christians would be squirming and have to re think all of the nonsense that is taught as religion.

I would consider that sarcasm, and not very good sarcasm at that...
Maven101, ask a Catholic what religion is the only true religion. That is what they will tell you. That is not sarcasm. I am married to a Roman Catholic so I should know.
A thousand years, in the eyes of God is only one day. so it hasn't even been a month. yes I am a Catholic and it is only normal to feel your religion is the one. I would not be a part of a religion that kills outside of war. abuse members, scare, threaten, beat or talk down of other religion. You should follow your religion, not be force away.
Catholic means universal, so in that respect all Christian bodies of believers are Catholics, just not Roman Catholics, and equally the body of Christ (believers) do have all truth, we have the bible.
Now challenging the veracity of the bible is actually challenging the existence of God Himself.
Simply put, if God is God, omnipotent, all knowing, eternal, just and all powerful, then the bible He has provided will have been sufficient to bring any diligent reader to the point of conviction of their sin, and subsequent salvation.
As for the conjecture that Jesus returned already, it does not work out at all, because if He had, we would have all been living in a sinless world these last thousand years... and whoops we are now two thousand years in and nobody could mistake the first 1000 years as the millennial reign where the lion laid down with the lamb and we ruled with Christ.
Dark Ages sound familiar?....He's been already... no don't think so, He's coming back just like the bible states, don't know when exactly, but watch and pray and be accounted worthy to be saved from ALL those things.

Blonde and blue eyes? Jesus always shows himself to me, since I was a child, but he never has had blue eyes. Maybe golden hair, but, with brown beautiful eyes.
Does it really matter? Is that reference based on a 'preference' considering your husband is a member of the Knights of Columbus? It's fine it that's what he wants to do, but I see the influence of your foundation and thinking.
Jesus is God, he is all colors all eye colors, all skin colors. He died and rose for all people of the world. And he loves you and he loves me.
No preference of mine and it has nothing to do with what my husband is affiliated with. Jesus was dark skinned from the area that he was born in.
If you believe that Jesus is God manifested in the third person of the trinity (God the FAther, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit), it should not be difficult to believe that he could be standing on a cloud that he spoke into existence in the first place. Secondly the peace that Jesus brings is not of this earth but the peace of knowing believers go to heaven when they die as opposed to going to hell. The word says we are created in the image of God there is nothing that says this image is flesh and blood. Thke bible says that God is spirit. I say to you that the part of you that is created in His image is spirit as He is spirit. This is why you face eternity when you shed the flesh. Flesh does not enter eternity the part of you created in God's image does. We don't know exactly what that looks like and won't until we get to heaven or hell. Jesus when He walked the earth as a man walked as a Jewish man would lived in the open desert and his skin color would have been likely olive skin tone with black hair. Not sure about his eye color. But he would not have been white. If you are wondering I am a white person and yes I am telling Jesus would not have been white. Scrpture clearly state he was Jewish and that his earthly parents were practicising Jews. Not sure what it is about Him that makes you so angry but you have your facts out of context. If you have questions you should try asking them from someone who actually knows Christ not from where ever you got your misconceptions.

Jesus was not dark skinned. Jesus was a white Jew. If you will take a look at Jews you will see that most are white persons with curly hair. Some have blonde hair, and some have dark hair. Jesus had brown hair. It was lighter when he was younger. Actually, all of the religious statues made throughout the years are quite accurate. The image has been accurately passed down through the arts.
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27.
We who are filled with the Holy Spirit will know our Lord and Master, our Adonai. Our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Our Emanuel, Our Prince of Peace, Our Great Redeemer on the White horse, because we are His children, sealed forever, for our eternal home with Him, our Savior. Jesus stated in Mark 13:6 that "Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many." And Luke 21:8 says; "Watch out that you are not deceived.((misled)) For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' "The time is near." "Do not follow them."
I believe all who are truly led by the Holy Spirit will not be fooled, but as it states in Matt. 24:24; "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible." To not be fooled is to stay in God's Word daily, manifest on the Word of God, ask for wisdom and discernment above all things, and listen to the nudging of The Holy Spirit. We can only worship God in Spirit and in Truth, and by His truth we shall know him, not so much in looks but by The Spirit. Thanks for this thought provoking Hub.
...and what if he is already here? What is HIS truth and what is MAN'S truth? Sputing scripture means little to me in that they are and have been mistranslated for many centuries and we just don't know the truth that they orginally meant. I do go by what Jesus is teaching in there, but will read other texts to see what is real to me and what is not. Jesus did not teach by a book and those tht did write the books did say that all of Jesus doings was not to be found in that Bible. He is in your heart and mind, not in some book. Great Hub and great questions. I think peopele don't really think of the details of his return and this is part of their problematic belief. The Tibetians know that their Dali Lama returns and they look for signs. It was convenient for them because he always returned as a Tibetian. I actually think most people who are Christian would not recognize him or believe him. I just think things/books/ have been so distorted over time at the hands of Men. I think Jesus' original message was divine, but has been changed and manipulated. I think that it is strange that people are born from the Source of All that Is, so they are 20 or 30 years old- only on this Earth for 20 or 30 years away from their Source- but they will pick up a book that has been in the hands of men for 1500 years- and believe it is as pure as them. They will deny themselves to believe a book. They will deny gods creation to believe in man's creation. Strange. Keep asking your questions!!!1

Thanks for that and yes they denie lots of things because they just cannot think for themselves when it is written in that one book that everything is not in that book because it wouldn't fit in that book or a thousants of books. They forget all about that and will use only what is in that book as total fact and that it is the only thing they need to teach from. They cannot read even that one book with all it's fallacies and manipulations.
If you are seeking all of your answers ask God, man will give you multiple responses. As for Jesus and his color the
Bible says his hair was of wool and his skin of bronze we do know that all happened in the Middle East so that would certainly not make him white, nor black but middle eastern, just my opinion.
As for his return it is also written, " Nobody will know, what time, what day or what hour." :)

I do not believe the above statement, I am a catholic and I also believe that anyone is entitled to their own opinions or beliefs as long as they are not forced upon others.

AuthorLMS, Thaks for commenting. You don't know your religion very well then. I heard that being a Catholic you had to take all their teachings and not be choosy as to which ones you will adhere to or not. Ask your Father of your church what religion is the "True" one.
I would but I dont attend any churches, although I am catholic I would say you are right. However not all catholics are that way as I am not and I am catholic. I have never heard this myself. But then you know how gossip can be too it gets all stretched out of proportion most of the time which is why I choose to only speak of that I know about. too many judges out there in the world we should all just be.
AuthorLMS, You have never been through RCIA either. That is where they teach you this stuff. I left the catholic church becaue I do not accept their doctrine. I wasn't eggagerating anytning nor taking anything out of context.
No I have not and I doubt I will anytime soon either. Its good to know that you are well aware of your beliefs many do not. I cant say whether you were exagerating or not I do not know I only say not all of us are like that as I am not like that and I am catholic. AuthorLMS, If you have always been a Catholic, you will never go through RCIA. Do you know what RCIA is? It doesn't sound like you do. The Catholic Church says it is THE ONLY One True Church. I ws not brought up in a Catholic Church but a Welsh Baptist Chruch and then Methodist before going the the Roman Catholic Initiation of Adults. It seems to me tht I know more about your religion than you do. I am married to a Roman Catholic, hence having to go through RCIA and learning all the aspects that they want you to do and know before marrying a Roman Catholic.You said that you were Catholic, well that is a label and that is you.
Jesus actually will come back in a spiritual form. Jesus Spirit is a divine spirit that can turn into semi-physical-spiritual. therefore, even when the room is close where the 12 deciples is in it Jesus can still come. But thomas can touch Jesus.
Jesus 2nd coming is coming back in spiritual form. He will choose a person and give His words on this person of mission. The sheep will recognise His voice.
Jesus ride on white cloud is actually through a person who has completely repented. Completely loving God. No matter who, He is will be the person Jesus will work upon when He comes back. He will know God the most and know about the 2nd coming completely.
I like this article alot, it is very neutral. And it is all some critical questions a Christian should really ask.

I cant understand why people that dont want to believe in Jesus Christ, as God, actually ask all the questions, and what is the actual reasoning behind it????.
You either believe he is God and tell everyone
or
You dont believe he is God and try avoid getting into debates.
Personally I believe he is God and even better he now lives in me through the Holy Spirit, and just that one fact, is the deciding factor, as to his reality as I have seen experienced and witnessed on all Three human levels, of Life "Spiritual, Mental and Physical" in more ways than someone who is without the Holy Spirit, and thats why I have my HUBs about his Excellence and Godliness, and how to get involved with him, his way.
