How To Line Dance--Several Variations and with Videos
68
Line Dancing has been around for a very long time. There is a line dance in just about every culture and place in the world. Line Dancing is fun and is done at clubs, weddings and there is even competitions for them. They come in a variety of way from Rock and Roll to Country to even Ballroom Dancing. There are ones made for children and there are ones that are for the purpose of exercising. Learning how to do these is fun and exciting and they are even good for the heart and body. They can be used as an exercise outlet and just getting out and joining friends.
Little did I know that there were so many line dancing styles and techniques until I started looking through the many videos. I tried my best to choose ones that were easy to understand and follow. There are just way too many to list here. I chose some that I didn't know and some that I did and some that are fun and some that are well instructed. I also tried to get the most variety for you to learn.
Do take a look at some of these, or all of them if you wish and get into the groove and in line and have fun! I know that my husband and I will.
1930's to 1950's
These were popular before my time. It could very well be a possibility that these are still done. It could also be a possibility that they could be brought back into this era.

My Lady, you pulled out some golden oldies here.
I am looking for a site that have the dance steps on paper some how. Know of any?
Keep on Hubbing!
These are great...oooh the memories they bring..used to watch Bandstand.
Ooh! I enjoyed this. I should probably not admit it but I do remember quite a few of the older ones! We use to twist our hearts out. I cannot really remember the song we always did it to but the words started with "lets twist again like we did last summer" I have really enjoyed this, thanks!
That is fantastic - now I need to get Bob to sit down in front of the computer and watch them and then try and do them! Or if all else fails, we need to go take another class! Great post - love it.
This hub should draw at least an 80 score daily. It's a very good, informative hub that's fun! Thanks for producing it. And thank you for your support.
What a fun hub and something we all really want to learn. Great for weddings. I'm bookmarking this and rating everything good. Thanks and Peace :)
Some wonderful oldies, Lady G. The Mashed Potato was one of our favorite dances, but we never considered it a line dance, though. Maybe it was considered that up north, but we southerners did it as couples. Thanks for the memories.

I like doing the Slide but that's the only one I really learned. I am old enough to remember seeing kids doing the Stroll on Bandstand.
